Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then cleared his debts and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan knows Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as key figures in the influential clan could assist the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This leaves them little choice but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
According to episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to form the Questers and Planners groups.
Audiences can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
